Pedreña acoge este fin de semana la ‘I Feria del Molusco’

El programa de actividades, que se desarrollará del viernes 31 de agosto al domingo 2 de septiembre, incluye degustaciones, talleres de cocina y de limpieza de moluscos, entre otros actos.

Los moluscos forman parte de la cocina tradicional de todas las localidades del Cantábrico y cercanas a las mismas. En Gipuzkoa por ejemplo, las almejas a la marinera forman parte de los platos de nuestra gastronomía. Platos similares y otros elaborados con otros tipos de moluscos se repiten a lo largo de todo el Cantábrico.

Pedreña acoge del 31 de agosto al 2 de septiembre la ‘I Feria del Molusco

Es por ello que desde este viernes, día 31 de agosto y hasta el próximo 2 de septiembre, la localidad cántabra de Pedreña acoge la ‘I Feria del Molusco’, que se desarrollará en el muelle de la citada población, situada a escasos 20 kilómetros de Santander.

Precios populares

La feria contará con diferentes puestos de moluscos (almejas, mejillones, navajas, caracolillos…) que se podrán degustar a precios populares los tres días que dura la feria. Paralelamente se desarrollarán diversas actividades relacionadas con estos productos del mar.

Así, por ejemplo, cabe destacar el ‘Taller de extracción de moluscos’ realizado por mariscadoras del municipio y que tendrá lugar el viernes a las 19 horas y el sábado y el domingo a las 12.30 horas.  Otra actividad a reseñar es el ‘Taller de cocina: aprende a cocinar almejas de tres maneras’, que se desarrollará el sábado, a las 19 horas. Por último, el domingo, a las 14 horas, se celebrará una comida popular que incluye un guiso de patatas con almejas y cuyo precio será de 2 euros por ración.
